Jaime has an incredible depth of knowledge when it comes to tap. She is widely known in our area for her technical expertise, and it shows in how she teaches and challenges her dancers. Her choreography is some of the most demanding and thoughtfully constructed we’ve seen, but she always delivers feedback in a way that helps dancers improve with confidence. She is a brilliant professional, respectful, and brings real credibility to any studio she is part of.
- Jillian, Dance ParentAs a dance parent, I have been consistently impressed by Jaime’s professionalism and the level of technical instruction she provides. She gives dancers clear, specific feedback that helps them grow rather than vague praise, and she genuinely cares about their progress. Jaime holds high standards while always treating dancers with respect, fairness, and encouragement. She is exactly the kind of educator you trust to develop strong, technically skilled dancers.
- Nicole, Dance ParentJaime has pushed me to become a much stronger tap dancer because she notices the details and gives really specific corrections that actually help you improve. Her classes are challenging, but you always know she wants you to succeed. She is incredibly knowledgeable about tap technique, musicality and choreography, and I’ve learned so much from her. I’ve learned so much from her. She is professional, respected, and creates an environment where dancers feel challenged and supported.
— Caroline, Studentteaching philosophy
With almost 30 years of teaching dance, my goal has always been to create a positive and supportive environment where dancers feel encouraged to grow both technically and personally.
I value hard work, mutual respect, kindness, confidence, teamwork, and dedication, while helping each student discover their own strengths and love for dance. I believe strong technique is important, but I also place great value on performance quality, artistry, and teaching dancers how to truly connect to movement and expression.
I strive to nurture and support my dancers while also challenging them to be the best they can be. Above all, I want every student to feel seen, respected, inspired, and proud of their progress both inside and outside the studio.
Dance teachers who train their own children experience pride, pressure, and guilt. Here’s the balance behind that unique role.
